Marton has given keynote addresses at conferences, business launches and national award functions in Sydney, Brisbane, Port Elizabeth, Hong Kong, Pune and Singapore. He has also been asked to address in-house leadership forums, staff conference and executive retreats.
He has authored and co-authored more than 150 papers, educational videos, research reports and industry handbooks. His first international text “Total Quality in the Construction Supply Chain (2006)” has been complemented by a new title “Total Quality Management—lean quality in capital project delivery (2017)”. His work on performance improvement has had a broad influence in the Australian construction sector.
Marton Marosszeky is a civil engineer and a fellow of the Institution of Engineers. He has worked as a construction manager in roadworks, a contract supervisor, a structural engineer on complex structures, a licenced builder and an academic researcher and teacher.
As an academic, he conducted safety, quality, environment and productivity research, most recently with a club of 18 major companies. He helped them to develop strategies leading to zero defects on completion.
In the last 10 years Marton has provided consultancy services beyond Australia, working in Canada, India, Malaysia, Russia, Singapore and the USA. He has guided teams in applying lean based process improvement on petrochemical, building and civil infrastructure projects in both the design and construction phase.
Marton also works as a commercial mediator and supports parties in construction dispute resolution and is available to support projects as a member of the Dispute Resolution Board.
Marton Marosszeky is a civil engineer, Fellow of the Institution of Engineers and former Fellow of the Australian Institute of Building. He was co-founder and the national Chair of the Lean Construction Institute of Australia between 2011 and 2015. Between 2010 and 2012 he was the chair of the Alliancing Association of Australasia awards panel. In 2013 he Chaired of the Judging Panel for the Australian Construction Achievement Award, the country’s most prestigious award for project excellence.
